Dream Autobiography
Allison Carter was cold. In a dream Allison Carter put her head under water to save herself from an approaching apocalyptic water spout. Being unable to hold her breath, however, she breathed in the water and then woke up VERY COLD with no MAN having meanwhile slipped out of her SLEEPING BAG.
This is how she died.
“This is how I died!
Tsunami whirlpool,
I found a box put it in the river climbed in and this is how I died.”
Allison Carter has seen the sky and the sidewalk SWAP OUT.
Allison Carter has seen the rocks and the craters SWAP OUT.
Allison Carter has seen the trees and the machines SWAP OUT.
Allison Carter has seen the coasts SWAP and the desert and the ocean SWAP and the table and the dinner SWAP and the speech and the expression it was delivered in SWAP OUT FOR GOOD.
“I feel the way I used to feel
with bills and boyfriends at my heels,”
says ALLISON CARTER, on FILM,
speaking from the other side that only she has seen.
